Scott and Stephanie are a wonderful couple. I had the opportunity to shoot their wedding while second shooting for Abby Rose Photo of Ann Arbor, Michigan. They’re very energetic and just fun and inventive. I’ll explain examples later. This wedding was quite a long one. I shot for 10 hours or so to the very very end. But wow it was an amazing wedding.

This was shot during the ceremony. This is Stephanie and Scott. Never thought of it until now but I guess most catholic church ceremonies have the bride and groom seated. This makes for better pictures. That way I don’t just get the side of their face and the back of their head.

Abby was getting her cards at this moment and I just snapped this right then and there. I was lucky the light was perfect.

This is Scott. Grabbed this shot while they were photographing formals in front of marygove college in Detroit.

This is the bus that took them around town. It was huge.Of the nicest bus’ I’ve rode. They even got the magnet to stick to the side.

This was shot during Formals inside the church. Right after the ceremony.

This is Mary Grove College’s Chapel. This shot was directed by Abby. It was a duh moment and took me a while to think about her instructions. I’m glad I’ve upgraded cameras. I get to shoot these crazy wide angle views.

I caught this moment while waiting for the Maiden of Honor to come off the bus. It was dreadfully hot that day and they all were cooling off in the bus. I like this shot because of her expression of malaise and the flowing of her dress and probably also because I’m a fan of very geometric and simple photos. It bothers me to death when photos are crooked. I had to straighten this one a little. Probably because she took me by surprise and I jumped a little.

This is probably one of my favorite photo of the day. Scott did this dance kissed her bride then took her garter off. Most inventive and creative garter pulling ever. I applaud Scott. I love the moment and the light.
I wish I could show more photos but I think i’ll cap it at nine. The reception was ridiculously fun to photograph. I think thats my favorite part of the day and what I’m best at.
Hopefully I can crash now. I have insomnia. Tomorrow is a big day. 14 hours of photography coverage with Jonathan Thrasher Photography.
