Stephanie & Darren at Hope Lutheran and Wabeek Country Club
This was from a couple weekends back with Abby Rose Photo.

This is Stephanie the bride. She looked gorgeous that day.

I caught this one outside while the guys were smoking. It was quite a beautiful August day.

The wedding ceremony was at Hope Lutheran Church of Farmington Hills. It’s a beautiful church. I’ve always passed it on my way to work but now I’ve been inside of it finally.

This is Darren at the alter. I kept forgetting his name until I just associated it with McCarty the Redwings Grind Line hockey player of the late nineties and early 2000s. Wow, those were great hockey years. I used to watch lots of games and know everyones numbers oh man.

This is Stephanie with her father.

Darren was smart. He waited like a tiger for his bride to plunge the cake into his mouth and in return — a nice cake all over the face! Oh man that never gets old for me.

I caught this shot during hors’dourve (sp?) hour at Wabeek Country Club. I was anticipating and waiting for a shot like this all evening with the beautiful orange sun casting long silhouettes on the walls everywhere it just seemed like it had to happen. This was inspired by a recent Reuters blog post about how silhouettes can add content and depth to your picture.

What was uncanny about this wedding was that Mike was the best man. Mike and I worked at target back in the day. One of the bridesmaids I worked with as well; Erica. Thats because Mike and Erica are married. I worked for target for 4 years while toward the end of high school all the way into my sophomore year of college. Those were fun days! Oh and mike gave an excellent speech about how Stephanie and Darren are alike. They like football.
