I booked this wedding a long time ago. I’ve been excited for this wedding for quite a while. They’re such a great couple. You don’t need to tell them to pose much. They know how to look good if you just stand back and let them enjoy the moment with each other. But of course once in a while some supervision is necessary, since Andy and Mollie occasionally get ADD.
I’m also excited because these are spartans. I’ve had too many wolverine fans lately. This was truely a chance to also remind me of my times at Michigan State when we went around campus to photograph them two. I suggested we goto the riv. They wanted the sparty statue so I went with that.
Here are some of my favorites:

We pulled out of their limo stopped traffic to photograph this. Luckily campus was pretty quiet and there were many other bride and grooms there too. Oh I did my best to tribute sparty by giving this photo the 300 (the movie) look. I loved that movie so much.

This is at the opera house after cutting the cake. Andy is pensively thinking about how much he enjoyed his cake (Probably). Mollie is probably thinking about the weird goofy photographer noises i’m making.

This is outside the Grand Ledge Opera House. It’s such a beautiful venue for a wedding.

First Dance together.

Father daughter dance. Mollie’s father is a super great guy. You can tell his warmth and kindness immediately when speaking to him.

Last Saturday I traveled all the way to Bad Axe, Michigan with Abby Rose Photo of Ann Arbor to photograph Jeff & Melissa Wychek. Melissa is an adorable, photogenic and very lovable school teacher.

Melissa and the flower girl Katie. I told her to step outside because I love those clouds as well as the colors of her parent’s backyard. Then all of a sudden Katie (who isn’t camera shy at all) decides to have a seat. It made a perfect photo and I didn’t really need to do any posing.

This one I noticed Katie just playing with toys and keeping herself entertained. I forgot what it was like to be a child. Luckily, Melissa walked in my photo and made my photo 10x times better. The photo gods were on my side that day.

Next photo is the sign of the beach that we took some photos at. It was pretty far from the church.

Next photo is my favorite formation the flying-v. Too original!

This is a photo of John. John and Jeff look too a like. I was embarrassed when I got them two mixed up. Just like Jeff, John’s super amiable guy.

Finally, my last favorite of the bride and groom dancing. Jeff looks sexy.
I have more favorites but I think i’ll keep it to sexy 6 photos. What an awesome wedding! I’ve never shot so much in my life! Thanks goes to Abby Rose for bringing me along! The couple was great they even provided us with a place to stay over so we didn’t have to drive super far after the night was over!

I saw this on a recent photography news blog.
Apparently, a Las Vegas photographer has been beaten by Britney’s Bodyguard. The altercation started when the photographer allegedly swung his camera lens and accidentally hit Britney Spears son, Sean Preston. I’m not the type to keep up with celebrity lifestyles; but found the photograph in US magazine interesting. Any way, what is embarrassing is the photo of the photographer in the US magazine article. If I was beaten like that I’d at least like to have pulled up my pants a little for the photo.
Lesson learned: Avoid saggy shorts, pull up your pants and watch where you swing your lens.

Someone recently asked me what boudoir photography was. I thought I’d address it in my blog.
What is Boudoir Photography?
In photography, Boudoir is described as a genre or category of glamour or beauty photography marketed toward couples depicting intimate scenes that are intentionally used to arouse their other mate or provoke romantic and/or emotional appeal. Or can be often marketed by other photographers as, “for his eyes only type photos.”
Boudoir is not necessarily pornographic because it is not a necessity for the subject to appear nude. Often women are depicted in situations of implied nudity. Implied nudity is described as nudity that you’d see in commercial advertising where sensitive body parts aren’t shown but the subject nude and are selling products. Additionally, the intention is aimed toward romance. Often subjects may appear in just lingerie or scenes that celebrate their body.
Why the need to shoot boudoir photos?
Often couples utilize boudoir photography to vicariously live their lives as a means of enlivening and strengthen their intimate relationship with each other.
Boudoir photos also make an exciting gift for husbands or boyfriends.
Setting
A boudior portrait is generally set / shot / or photographed in a bedroom or indoor setting. However, it does not need to be limited to that setting.

The Simpsons movie is coming out soon. I’m pretty excited. That should be a great time.
I think my favorite theater around here is the emagine in Novi. I like the comfy seats there.
Check out the avatar I made on their website. It sort of looks like me.
