Sphere: Related ContentI’d like to wish Angie & Tom Asta-Robinson a Happy Anniversary on their first year of marriage. On that day, Holy MoLee Photography documented their glorious and wonderful wedding in Sterling Heights, Michigan. It was quite a hot day! Their wedding was held on this hill on the golf course. Guests either had to drive a golf cart or walk there. Once arrived there everyone was dressed in white. Even the Grooms and their best men.
The reception hall was so very unique. Everyone was on their feet most of the time and everyone was so friendly!
It was such a spectacular event!

Saw this today. It’s on every entry of my google calendar. I don’t now this guy at all. What the hell is going on? I’ve reloaded my google calendar multiple times and I still get his face on my add entries to my google calendar. Could anyone tell me whats going on?

Wahoo! Finally, Holy MoLee Photography LLC is finally on the first Google Search engine results page (SERP). At first we weren’t on there at all and now we’re slowly climbing to number one in that category. Soon I will try to draw on other searches to bring more hits to my webpage with other searches specific to my region.
Check it out if you don’t believe it.
The only others that are ranked near me are Edwards, Marci Curtis Wedding Photography, and

But Happy Father’s Day. If your father is still with you. Take a photo with him and for one day treat him like a human being.
You never know how much longer they might still be around.
I just had dinner with a cousin who just recently lost his father a month ago. It was hard seeing him just sit there like a sedentary vegetable. Hes usually the loquacious one; but, on this day. He didn’t say much at all. He just sat there and didn’t eat anything. I would probably think this day is the toughest for him and his family.
Sphere: Related ContentI told myself I should only choose 5 photos. It was really tough. I spent a good half an hour picking what was in and out and went back and forth. So I just was like whatever. Just throw these up. I could be doing something more enjoyable. Like eating ice cream cake. Abby Rose Photo came to assist me too.
So here is to five (plus one more. Couldn’t leave that last one out).

Brian Secord before the ceremony
I guess Lindsay is great with children.

Lindsay and the Bouquet Toss.
Brian with the Garter Toss. I caught a photo of it in mid-air luckily. I love the expression of the people in the back.
Probably my most favorite photo of all of them. This was my day after shoot in Kensington Park, Michigan.
Last one in Kensington park. The bonus track one.
Sphere: Related ContentThis time around last year I remember Ehren and I traveling to Big Rapids to photograph this wedding. I had no idea what to expect. It was another hot michigan summer. I remember I was glad I wore a white shirt and not a black one. The wedding was very intimate. It was held on Paul’s Lawn with a whole row of Orchards. It was very sexy. I remember Ehren and I swapping spots to keep cool. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful wedding! The skies were perfectly blue and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It made for a perfect backdrop.
It was such an emotional day. Especially at the reception when everyone gave their personal speeches: tears fell like raindrops. Or who can’t forget the pink socks and blindfolding Paul so he’d put the garter on his best man.
Congratulations on your 1 year Anniversary Pierson’s.
Sphere: Related ContentI thought I’d share this anyways. Just as a break from wedding photography and show people what my artistic passion is. Originally, I started shooting still life and landscapes. I chose those subjects because well they were ubiquitous and commonplace. I shot that frequently and then my best friend Ehren started to shoot night photography and I’d come along as well and the habit had just formed like that. A lot of that technique, utilized in my early stages of photographical development, has contributed toward my style and vision of wedding photography: compositional proclivities, likeness toward very carefully in camera cropped photographs, a Edward Hopper tinged lighting portrayal, and interest in surreal juxtapositions. But I’ll let you be the judge I may be wrong.
Now about this series; it was produced in Late April to May of 2007 for my color photography class. It had just stopped snowing in East Lansing and the nights were warm. They’re typically common landscapes of East Lansing, Michigan and they all feature one common element in the composition. If you can figure it out I’ll be impressed. The common element is a humorous allusion to the Arches of St. Louis which was contrived during my long pensive late nights of shooting.
I really need to crash soon. But really wanted to put up a photo I love. I was amazed by the luck on me doth by the photo gods themselves. This is an minimally retouched photo. Just adjusted the curves in Adobe Lightroom. I think thats my new favorite app. It’s allowed me to go through hundreds of photos in a couple hours where it used to take me two to three days. I’m also been more careful what I shoot. Presiding over the quality over quantity; or garbage in garbage out mentality.
Today I met with the Secords in Kensington. I’ll post some up of those too. Tomorrow I’ll be at the Brother Rice Business Association meeting. Hopefully I’ll meet some interesting people there. That’s if I don’t get exhausted.
The photo is of the father daughter dance at Bakers of Milford. It’s definately a beautiful place. Theres lots of interesting things to photograph. It’s also right by Kensington Park. Anyway, the photo:

I told Lindsay the bad news. She’s going to have to cry when she sees her photos.
Oh yeah. Abby Rose Photo of Ann Arbor tagged along. She’s great. I envy a plethora of her photos.
Sphere: Related ContentTrashing the dress has become a very popular fashion trend among current wedding photographers. It’s even caught the attention of the New York Times. It’s when couples, after the wedding is all done, find creative ways to destroy the dress; as a anti-wedding ceremony. A lot of times it’s a plethora of fun. Even with a wedding dress so expensive some find it worth it.
